Internal Hire Rates
Hackney Venues is a venture run by the London Borough of Hackney. Our aims are to ensure our amazing buildings remain operational and accessible for residents and local people to celebrate life occasions and more. We strive to be the leaders in Local Authority venue hire and be the first choice for colleagues, community groups, residents and businesses looking for London based meeting and events space.
As this is a commercially led service with the focus being on income generation to sustain these buildings, internal recharges for these spaces will apply.
Having Catering?
Please check our approved caterers and ensure you choose one from here.
Please also follow Hackney’s sustainability policy by using crockery where possible and no single use plastics.
Please also remember to leave the rooms tidy. You will either need to take your waste with you or agree with the catering staff to remove it at the end.
The Tomlinson Centre benefits from an inhouse catering offer, note that this is mandatory and external catering from the approved list or other cannot be brought in. See menu here

For events larger than 150 or events requiring tech support and hands free microphones external AV will be required. Packages can be found on our extra’s page
**Mandatory security is required for all bookings in the Assembly Rooms due to opening of the reading lane entrance. Security is also mandatory on all events after 4pm in parks, after 7pm in the town hall, when external suppliers are booked, when the event is open to the public or when alcohol is being provided.
***Cloakroom available Assembly Rooms hire only and an attendant is mandatory if being used.
